James has worked in the City of London for over 30 years. He is currently chair of the Church of England Ethical Investment Advisory Group, having formerly been a partner of the international law firm Slaughter and May. He has written two books following the financial crisis. The White Swan Formula makes the case for the compatibility of positive values and good business. Of Markets and Men describes how our finance reflects our philosophy and sets out practical steps for reshaping our financial system. He is also the general editor of Global Business and Human Rights.
