Looking Beyond the Check-box: Mitigating Risk, Maximising Performance

Date: Wednesday 2nd April, 2014
Time: 6.30 - 8.00pm (doors open at 6pm)
Venue: Wren Suite, crypt of St Paul's Cathedral

Join us for a panel discussion on how to mitigate risk and maximise performance by looking beyond the check box. Good corporate governance depends on the right questions being asked within the context of a values-based approach to organisational culture.

Part of our ongoing joint programme on ethical culture, this seminar is hosted by CIMA in association with St Paul's Institute. It will explore:

  • developments in legal and regulatory frameworks,
  • how leading organisations can aim to embed good practice, use sustainability strategies and create a culture that is beyond check box compliance,
  • the overall "human" element with both the challenges and opportunities that social relations create.

Speakers:

Hannah Laming, Barrister (Corporate Crime), Peters & Peters

Dr Jeremy Osborn FCMA, Senior Manager & Integrated Reporting Leader, EY

Douglas Johnston, Partner Climate Change & Sustainability Services, EY

Sue Garrard, SVP for Communications and the Foundation, Unilever

Panel discussion to be chaired by Lawrie Holmes, Editor of Financial Management Magazine.

Doors open at 6.00 pm for a 6.30 start. Drinks reception to follow. Entry is free and open to all, but we have limited spaces available. To register for this event, please use our registration page here.
