'Intimidated by Expertise': Clergy Learning Day

'Intimidated by Expertise': A Learning Day on Finance and its Relation to the Church

Date:
Monday 21st November

Time: 10.00am - 3.00pm

Venue: St Paul's Cathedral

Given the world's current financial upheaval, a Christian response to questions of finance and economics is as urgent now as it has ever been. However, as stated by Archbishop Williams, this response is often held back by many feeling 'intimidated by expertise'.

For this reason St Paul's Institute and CCLA Investment Management - specialist investment managers for Churches, Charities, and Local Authorities - would like to invite members of the clergy to a Learning Day on the financial markets and the City of London.

The programme will be directly tailored to provide attendees an enhanced understanding of the way in which the Church works financially and interfaces with financial markets, as well as pass on a measure of financial literacy and knowledge of how the City operates on a daily basis. Each session will be led by an 'approachable expert' with practical experience within the area under discussion and will be undertaken in an entertaining and informative manner.

The day will be provided free of charge, and will include a buffet lunch as well as tea and coffee throughout. Further information and a full agenda will be provided for those who register to attend.

As a clergy training day, this is open only to ordained clergy within the Church of England.

Registration is essential, please RSVP to:
