'Beyond Hot Air': Protecting Value in a Changing Climate

Churches have always played an active and important role in raising awareness of the pressing issues associated with unmitigated climate change.

As part of National Ethical Investment Week, St Paul's Institute, in conjunction with the Church Investors Group, is delighted to take this dialogue further and invite you to attend a breakfast event for Church, City and Charity investors aimed at getting beyond rhetorical hot air and exploring what the challenges of climate change mean for the investment portfolios of mission-driven organisations.

Date: Wed 19th October 2011
Time: 08:45-10:30
Venue: Wren Suite, St Paul's Cathedral

Speaking at the event will be:

John Elkington,
co-founder and non-executive director of SustainAbility, will remind us of the urgent challenges we all face through to 2020 and beyond.

Will Oulton, European head of responsible investment at Mercer, will outline their new climate change scenarios and the implications for investors.

David Blood, who co-founded Generation Investment Management with Al Gore, will explain how they and others in the City are responding to the challenge.

Breakfast will be served at 08:30 ready for a 08:45 start

This seminar is free but registration is essential.
